Darn it all, this Memories chapter is going on for far longer than I originally anticipated. The initial intent was for this chapter to tell the story of the young Xarth, and reveal the huge role he plays in the overall webcomic story. However, I decided to include a furthering of Fred's story.

You see, Fred's story begins in Volume Two, where we find out what he was up to before finding the portal that led him to the events in this Memories chapter. His story proceeds here and resumes in Volume Two. The inclusion of Fred is prolonging this chapter much more than I had originally planned.

Not that there's anything wrong in dragging this chapter out so much, so long as I conclude it the way I was planning.

In other news, I checked out a couple DVDs from my anime club's library tonight: Gilgamesh Volume 1 and Welcome to the NHK Volume 1. I had seen the first episode of the latter at JAS a couple years back, and thought it was really interesting; I just never got around to watching the rest of the series. This DVD volume will be a start.
