Here's where the style simplifies again. You may notice the lack of hatching and such. It becomes a little bit more obvious once the characters start taking their masks off.

…but I don't feel like I said everything I could have, so I'm going to elaborate some stuff. Starting on artstyle since now is a good chance to. I might talk more on future pages, dunno.

More simplistic artstyles have appealed to me the most since I was a kid, I just didn't KNOW it. I was really into liefeld and mcfarlane and everybody, because the effort that must have been put into the art amazed me…of course now I know they were just making up muscles and throwing down rendering randomly, but yeah. Yet as I was looking at that art, stuff like Bruce Timm's simplified designs for his DC cartoons and more of the old school marvel guys affected me on more of an emotional level. Of course younger me thought "this CAN'T be better, there are less lines" yet that simplified batman felt more bold and more heroic to me than one with a million hatch lines and a deep set scowl ever did.

So eventually it effected the decisions I made in my own art, and I started following artists who got the same emotional pull out of me.

We're pretty much all artists here, so if anybody else wants to talk about why you draw the way you draw, go for it.
