Brunch and Bias

I wanted to raise awareness to some of the small ways that we’re still trying to overcome prejudice. Yes, the laws have changed and civil rights are established, but centuries of mistreatment and how it has affected our perceptions on a widespread basis. In this comic, I address Implicit Bias. Amy’s friend Sheila, who is newly minted law partner, is never handed the check. Amy, meanwhile, just has to show up in a tracksuit and is assumed she can pay for the meal. When Sheila asks for the check, she gets a Surprised Pikachu face from the waitress.

Amy and Sheila are fighting the issue…one mimosa at a time!
