Horton Hears Nothing

Happy Dr. Sues week!

Earlier this year, when I heard that “Horton Hears a Who” was being adapted into a film, I was very excited. From the look on the trailer, it looks just like a Dr. Sues book. So many of the other Dr. Sues adaptations (the live action How the Grinch Stole Christmas and The Cat in the Hat) lose all of the charm that is Dr. Sues. The animated/CGI look is really fitting for the book.

Other than the look, I was also really excited about the two stars involved, Steve Carrell and Jim Carrey. As everyone knows, I am a HUGE Office fan, so anything Steve Carrell touches is gold to me. He is such a talented actor, that I am always eager to see whatever he has to offer (if anyone doubts how talented he is, watch Little Miss Sunshine). Jim Carrey , on the other hand, is an actor who I really like and respect. I really loved him in Bruce Almighty (oddly enough, Steve Carrell was in that film), and I really love anything he does where he can display himself as an actor. Sometimes, he can get a little too over the top for me, but I think he will make a great transition into animation.

Anyway, Smash Bros. comes out this Sunday, so this is going to be the longest week ever,
