One of the funny things about uniformed security back when I started was that they found anyway around the law they could to put a man in uniform. Back in 1998 a convicted felon could be a Security Guard for 90 days while his permit was evaluated by the state of California. The last time I worked with someone who was legally ineligible to be a security officer was in 03. The world changes.
