Doomish onThe guy with the paddle is Jick, main homeboy and main creator of Kingdom of Loathing. The person kneeling to be paddled is a noob. Hence, "Noob Cave".
But yes, bodily harm in this comic is like bodily harm in a Tom and Jerry cartoon. It goes away after every episode or scene ends.
