The Dulcetta Reforms
sumikoska onThe Dulcetta Reforms: In 2054, after government
attempted to file for bankruptcy, its creditors demanded immediate repayment
under threat of war. Massive land sales were held to repay the national debt,
but it wasn’t enough. Named after their author, Senator Terrance Dulcetta, and
enacted in 2057 in an unsuccessful bid to avert war, the reforms are a strict
set of laws that put all unemployed at risk of debtor’s prison and possible
execution if unable to obtain work and repay the government in a timely manner.
