Ah, the beginning of a brand new storyline. Can you feel the fresh scent of promise in the air?

This strip is notable for finally showing you what the narrator looks like. For those unfamiliar with terrible movies, I modeled the narrator after Criswell in Plan 9 From Outer Space. I also patterned his narration in this strip from Criswell's opening monologue for the movie.

This storyline also heralds the return of Fantomah to Air Raid Robertson's pages. Fantomah is a superheroine created by the infamous cartoonist Fletcher Hanks in 1940. She has since fallen into the public domain so I am free to use her without getting sued.

Fantomah previously appeared in "Welcome to the Jungle", Air Raid Robertson's very first storyline. I also did a few comics featuring the character solo. Those are posted in the Public Domain Funnies section of my page.

The first story is an old Fantomah comic by Fletcher Hanks. I inked and colored the pages to my specifications. After you get past that number you'll run into a brand new Fantomah story by me. I have her fighting Nazis in that one.

The lady in Ridley's bed is Rita. She is Ridley's girlfriend, and she last appeared in the opening to the "Trip to the Moon" storyline. Air Raid Robertson interrupted their alone time in that instance as well. (Perhaps it will become a running gag)

On top of the other stuff I wanted to insinuate that things were beginning to get a bit serious between Ridley and Rita. After all, Ridley seems to be willing to shave off his rockin' moustache if it interferes with their kissing. (GASP!)
