This strip serves as the finale of the storyline. I did have a bit more planned with the lizard man in the last panel, but I decided to roll that into the next arc rather than have it function as an epilogue to this story.

I ended up wearing out the nibs to all my stationary before I set out to do this page. In order to keep this strip from being late, I resorted to doing the linework to this page with a goddamn sharpie. This is not exactly my proudest moment as an artist. I did my best to keep the lines consistent with the previous pages, but I couldn't perform miracles.

My main goal for this particular storyline was to add a bit of dimension to the supporting players. In particular I wanted do more with Ripley. I was afraid that she came off as a nagging shrew in her first appearance, so I wanted to explore some additional shades of her character here. Considering that Ripley is one of only three recurring female characters in this strip (so far) I considered this important.

A couple of utility strips are on the way now. For the new kids, this means that you'll be getting a few stand-alone pages that aren't part of a larger storyline. I also have a black and white story I want to do. Since Halloween is coming up, it's going to be a riff on the old Warren mags like Creepy and Eerie. (Which themselves were a riff on EC Comics like Tales From The Crypt and The Vault of Horror) It should be a lot of fun.
