The action begins in earnest with this page. It was really important to me to have the images pop out with this sequence. I've been reading a lot of comics drawn by Jim Steranko lately and I think his dynamic panel layouts have informed the above drawing.

Of course, I also want to flex a Steve Ditko influence for this storyline. That led to the bottom panel with Shirley McStarkiller struggling to deflect Dr. Noirish's mystic bolts. I'll be getting more elaborate with that exchange on the next page.
