Air Raid Robertson
on

This concludes "Rhapsody in Beige". I am very proud of the artwork I've done for this story. I tend to convince myself that I've advanced as an artist whenever I finish any Air Raid Robertson story. This time, however, I am completely sure of it.
There are a couple of references I feel obligated to explain here. First off, the man who pulls Air Raid Robertson to safety in the first three panels is intended to be a caricature of Harold Lloyd. The "red-eyed demon" that Robertson mentions in the splash panel alludes to Spring-Heeled Jack, a prominent urban legend of Victorian England. And, of course, Yuggoth is the foul ninth world in H.P. Lovecraft's supernatural horror mythos.
After drawing all those tiny, tiny lines I am quite eager to try out a different artistic style for my next arc in Air Raid Robertson. I've been playing around with it already and so far I've heard good things about it. Here's hoping you're all on board.
