Air Raid Robertson

As many of you have probably figured out, the silent horror film I'm drawing from is none other than the 1925 production of The Phantom of the Opera starring Lon Chaney. I have, however, recently read the 1911 novel by Gaston Leroux. Most of the plot points will be faithful to the book while the visuals will be derived from the film.
The popular musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber will not be a factor in this story. I personally found it to be awful.
The previous page mentioned that Air Raid Robertson and Ridley were assigned to this case under the insistence of a M. Rouletabille. This character is the star of several detective novels composed by M. Leroux. These stories have nothing to do with The Phantom of the Opera, but if you're familiar with my comics you're aware that I rarely pass up the chance to make a reference like that.
