It took me four pages, but I finally got around to drawing the Phantom. The top panel is my depiction of the scene where Erik serenades Christine as she visits her father's grave. I thought that it was the most important chapter of the novel that wasn't included in the silent film adaptation. I also thought that it would make a well-composed image for a page's first panel.
Sadly, my initial reaction to the Phantom's signature is comparable to Air Raid Robertson's, This is how listening to lots of gangsta rap soils your brain, boys and girls.
