Air Raid Robertson

I'm a bit nervous about this page because it doesn't have any jokes on it. I try to have at least one or two pieces of mildly amusing phrasing on every page of Air Raid Robertson.

However, I couldn't really think of anything that I could slip in without derailing the narrative of this sequence.

This page does, however, allow me to accomplish a couple of things I was aiming to do while I was plotting this story out. For one thing, it was really important for me to have Christine comment on how disconcerted she was with Erik's eyes while the reader got a close-up of them. I'm not sure why this seemed like an obligatory shot to me, but I knew that I wanted it in there.

Another image I considered mandatory was the one in the bottom panel. The sight of Erik playing "Don Juan Triumphant" on a church organ is easily the most iconic part of The Phantom of the Opera. I felt that I couldn't use these characters in Air Raid Robertson without jamming the church organ in there.

By the way, drawing a church organ was a bigger pain in the butt than I anticipated. And, I anticipated that it was going to be quite a pain in the butt.
