I hope you can figure out on your own that this is the final page of "Plain Gold Ring". As usual, I have mixed feelings about this one. I think that I overinked the first couple of pages of this and I'm not certain about the non-jokey portions of the narrative. However, at the end of every storyline I ask myself "Have you learned anything about crafting comics from doing this story."
And, as usual, my response is 'Yeah, I guess. Kinda." So, there's that.
Ridley's comment about Erik's corpse being "No ordinary skeleton." comes from the most common English translation of The Phantom of the Opera. Raoul's arrest, I confess, is not derived from the novel in any way and is completely of my own invention. I also hope that you were able to figure that out on your own as well.
The next storyarc for Air Raid Robertson will, in a manner comparable to this arc, combine the influence of a classic comic series with a timeless piece of literature. This one is an undertaking that I've been wanting to do for a very long time and I am eager to show it all to you.
