The Undiscovered Self Page 1

Happy New Year, readers. I didn't plan on this story being the one to start off Air Raid Robertson's 2012 adventures, but it does seem appropriate.

As I stated in the previous segment of author's notes, this plotline is going to be somewhat different from any previous story in Air Raid Robertson's fairly short history. I know that this page looks pretty typical, but that's intentional. I wanted to do a little something in the "house style" before I set off for uncharted waters.

The title of this arc is taken from a short novel written by Carl Jung, the famous and controversial figure of modern psycology. Most of The Undiscovered Self is an analysis of the state of communism in the mid-20th century. That may seem a bit dated, but there are many musings on the nature of individuality that are still quite relevant to the modern world. Much of this book has informed scenes in this particular story, and I will directly paraphrase a bit of the text later on.

As I also said before, I am a little wary of how some of my regular readers will react to certain aspects of this story. Then again, most of you seem to be able to roll with whatever I decide to throw at you, so maybe this'll all work out okay. I am firm in my resolve to keep pushing these characters beyond anything that resembles a comfort zone, so here we go…
