Earlier I had stated that I wanted the art for this story to have something of a Neal Adams feel to it. And, well, when I think of Neal Adams I think of figures popping out of the panel borders. Mr. Adams wasn't the first comic book artist to pull this trick, but he really took it to another level.

Anyways, the image of Ripley in panel three is my attempt at introducing a character to a talking heads sequence in a manner reflective of the Neal Adams approach.
