Finally, after several weeks of waiting, All Saints is back and updating once more. I would like to thank Randy Haldeman, for joining the project as our new artist, and for doing so as quickly as he did. At the same time, I would like to thank Jason Cervini, our previous artist, for helping us get this project off the ground in the first place back in the Fall of '07. Couldn't have done it without ya'.
I would also like to thank the readers who have made this comic worth all the time and effort I've put into it since I began writing the script in '05. I honestly never thought that this story would acheive the kind of popularity it has so quickly. Up until we temporarily stopped updating after the end of Book I, All Saints was within the Top 100 in Comic Stories and within the Top 300 Overall. And the day after Book I ended, we even received an invitation to join a webring devoted specifically for Horror and Sci-Fi comics that was just starting up at the time. I had always thought that this comic would just remain sort of an underground thing, but it seems like it's moving more and more towards a larger audience that I never knew existed. Thanks everybody!
Unfortunately, because of our current school schedules, Randy and I will only be able to update once a week each Tuesday, at least for several pages into Interlude I, but we should be back up and running to the usual twice-a-week update by the time we reach Book II.
Anyway, down to business. This is the first page of the 9-page "Interlude I: The Shape of Things," between Books I & II, which tells of certain world events that transpired in the years before the demoms emerged. Randy felt that it would be neccessary to make a two-page spread for this part, and I'm inclined to agree, as there was a lot of graphics and words that needed to be shown all at once here. The rest of the Interlude, however, will stick to the original 500x900 pixel format that Book I was written in. Nonetheless, I'm still amazed at how well he managed to conver the map (wherever he found it, originally) and converted it into greyscale.
Anyway, It's really late right now, and I have to wake up and be in class within the next 7 hours. See you all next
Tuesday, and keep reading. The story's just beginning.
