And, at long last, it's finally here. A day late, I know, but at least we made it on the right week. A ton of stuff kept happening that even further delayed getting this page up and running. Soon after Randy was done recovering from the surgery, he had to go to an art exhibit/convention over the 4th of July weekend, so he wasn't able to do any comic work for several days. Then, the top panel of this page took forever to draw (if there's anything wrong with it, then please, please, DON'T tell us! This page has had so much trouble associated with it that we don't WANT to know if there's something wrong!) Meanwhile, I've been working in triple-digit heat out in the middle of nowhere for the internship project (fieldwork is required), and the following lab work I had to do yesterday would have taken several hours more to finish if one of my unsuspect- I mean friendly- coworkers hadn't come in and offered to help. So I've been coming home every day pretty much exhausted. And to top it all off, my internet at home went down for all yesterday afternoon until about 10:30 P.M. before I could finally upload this page. But finally, here it is: Page 7 of Interlude I.
So anyway, let's move on. About this page. I think both Randy and I can agree that the first panel was the most difficult (it took him several tries before he could get it to look the way he wanted it), and I can see why. It's partially my fault, anyway, since I was kind of vague in my description on how I wanted it to look like. As for panel 2, while it's not what I had in mind, I actually love the semi-surrealist look it has to it, so we're keeping it as it is.
Anyway, it's getting late, and I'm tired, so I'm going to bed. But I'd like to thank all of you for being patient and sticking with us for these past several weeks while we were busy dealing with one mess after another.
Here's hoping that Murphy's Law doesn't strike twice in the same place!
