Well, your not going to beleive this, folks, but it seems that Murphy (see: "Murphy's Law") decided to throw me a bone. Those of you who read the wall-of-text-of-an-update last week already know that after a brief run-in with a state-trooper, I found myself almost completely out of funds. No sooner do I find myself borderline broke when Jason calls me saying that a friend of his says they need someone to fill in a position where they work. Next thing I know, I'm finishing up an interview, and being asked to come in and start working the next day. So that's one problem solved…leaving about a bajillion others I still have to deal with. :-p
Anywho, on to the page!
Jason was actually able to draw this page rather quickly, compared to many of the others we've done so far (about an hour on the linework, another hour on the shading), which isn't that surprising, since all we wanted to show was that Deimos and Jeremy are essentially just moving from one place to another, and instead focusing more on Deimos's internal monologue.
As you've all probably noticed, Deimos's seems to think in an entirely differently style than how he talks. This was one of the more "poetic" moments of All Saints, which I thoroughly enjoyed writing, especially the lines of monologue in the last couple of panels (especially the "tough shit" part at the end).
Anyway, we'll see you next week, same time, same place, here on The Duck.
Here's hoping to stay employed until grad school this Spring (and beyond, if possible).
