Just look at Jacques, guys - even under Elena's limited control he's a total monster who rips out throats from little girls and wants to hypno-blood-rape pretty women like the inn's maid. How is Alastair a Nazi for opposing things like that? You may call him unfair because he assumes that Bernadette serves evil, but maybe in this story, vampires aren't known to be as civilized as Angela.
