For a few weeks after January 20, "bipartisanship" became an almost as unbearably overused word as George W. Bush's "freedom."

Too bad that no one could agree on what it actually meant.

As far as the media talking heads go, however, "bipartisanship" meant "The donkeys must bend over backwards to accommodate the pachyderms."

Problem is, that's emphatically not the definition they use whenever the pachyderms are the ones in charge.
In fact, during pachyderm dynasties, the word seems to temporarily vanish from their dictionaries altogether.
