Having only played a brute in CoV, I don't know if there's an easier strategy of beating wailers other than "just go beat the snot out of them, and they'll drop dead eventually." Their sonic attacks are a bitch, but some of their dialogue is funny.

And who else to take care of wailers, or demons in general, than the demon hunter of St. Martial himself? Hopefully, a few CoV gamers had the pleasure to work with him; his missions were pretty fun.
