I've said it a few times before, though I don't think it always carries through in the actual comic - Hubris is not a complete monster. Ok, maybe a little more now than he was before, but my point stands. While I tend to portray Hubris as blind (and willingly so) to the consequences of his actions, I think it's important to note that even he has his limits.

…of course, usually his limits often occur about the same time his clients run out of money, but still.
