The comic referenced in the third panel is "Through a Monitor Darkly", one of the first comics to feature Arthur as part of the original Apple of Discord, and the first appearance of Mina and Erik. Both Mina and Erik made sporadic appearances across the next several years, both in AoD and Apple Valley, though nothing quite like Art managed to maintain.

Also, if you look at yesterday's comic, above the guard's head, that's Toaster Steve peering out through the window… so you can probably guess who's about to come through the doors.
