I had forgotten a previous discussion we'd had about this particular comic.
In case some of you (most of you, probably) don't get the joke: Hobbes is replaced by Thomas Hobbes, an English philosopher, while Calvin is replaced by John Calvin, a French Protestant theologian. The text NOW makes sense because of the changed context. Before, you were probably thinking "Why are our beloved C&H saying these things?", well that's because I fucked up. Instead it should be "Oh, these simple concepts that they're spouting are the recorded thoughts of John Calvin and Thomas Hobbes". In the end, it's still Calvin and Hobbes, but funnier.
