Happy Birthday Jeremy

Saturday was Jeremy's birthday and despite what the comic suggests we actually had a totally awesome time. I'm pretty sure it was the best birthday Jeremy has ever had, ever!

First off we took him to an authentic Korean barbecue place, in Korea town, which we got lost on the way because he was 99.9 percent sure we had passed the location. Turns out we weren't anywhere near the place that neither he nor I had ever been to and he was totally wrong. After asking a total stranger for confirmation of his wrongitude we continued on to find the restaurant. We all ate lots of meat that they make you cook yourself and had beer then we left there to find the infamous Miss T's Barcade a place that is both a bar and an arcade. We walked up and down the street for about an hour as the numbers counted down and then randomly started counting up they also skipped about 140 digits from one building to the next. I had promised Jeremy Boba before we went to the barcade and I knew that the secret to finding it would be to get the boba. So we found a nice little boba place that was open at 10pm and we asked about the barcade, The girl behind the counter, the first person we had met that night that spoke fluent english, said she had heard of it but didn't know where it was and that if we had a laptop we could use the wireless, as we were about to leave disheartened, to walk up and down the streets in vain she squeaked "Wait! my friend is here, you can use her internets!" and we did she found the place for us, and we chatted and thanked her then went on our way to walk back in the direction we came. We found the barcade, another person was having a birthday party, they were watching Pee Wee's Big Adventure and they had a bunch of those candy cigarettes all over the place.

The barcade is a total dive bar that has retro games from the 70s and 80s. We played paper boy and mike tyson's punch out and donkey kong and galaga for a few hours then Jeremy said he wanted to go home. It was only like 10:30 at this point so Mat and I said fuck that. We went to Universal Studio's city walk where I gave Jeremy the most awesome present ever. Flight! There is this thing called Ifly it's a simulated sky diving experience in a giant wind tunnel tube, It was 40 bucks and Jeremy saw it and totally wanted to go. So I paid the 40 bucks and we walked in to the training video. Mat and I went in to the instruction stuff with Jeremy so we could make fun of him and distract him enough that he wouldn't know what to do when he got out there. It worked.

All in all I don't think I've ever seen Jeremy so happy and mortified, at the same time or individually. We heard him crying tears of joy… we think.

Happy birthday Jeremy.

Till next time

-John

P.S. Oh yeah, Mat and I also took a fuck ton of pictures and video at least as much as we could through all of the laughing.
