68- The New Roommate - Martin

Martin lived with us for almost exactly 24 hours before putting in his 30 days notice. He has a severe bug phobia and he found one in our kitchen. He says it was a tiny cock roach, which totally sucks cause for every one you see that means there's like 50 billion cruising around somewhere. Jeremy and I are going to hunt them.

Now short lived roommates are actually nothing new to me and Mat and Susan for that matter. At apt 408 we would get new roommates all the time some of them would be there for a couple of weeks or months but some of them were there for as short as 24 hours. We'd get people from all over, Japan, france, canada, taiwan, peru, mexico and we'd get to know them really well and consider them friends, then they would just go back to where every they were coming from and it would go back to just us. You'll see a lot of that in the future comics.

Martin, so you know, is a seriously cool guy. He's actually in his late 30s but looks younger than I do. He works all day, is covered in tattoos has a 5 year old son that stays with his mom and he listens to old school punk. He grew up in the valley here and has been here his whole life. Though he said that for 5 years he just moved from city to city being a bartender eventually ended up in hawaii, had a baby and ruined his life… so says jeremy.
