Boris Vladimirski (1878-1950)
Circa. 1949
Socialist realism

Vladimirski was a national propaganda artist for the Soviet Union. However, Vladimirski also had his own agenda and would publish very controversial pieces which criticized the government as paintings of the KGB (The secret service of the Soviet Union) taking people away during the night. Because he was considered a national artist and mostly painted propaganda pieces like Roses for Stalin, the board allowed him to publish his works that criticized the government.
