Lonnehart onThe page was one of the theories proposed as to why the asteroid belt never formed into a planet. I think the more plausible theory is that the gravity between Mars and Jupiter kept the rocks moving so fast that they couldn't clump together to form a planet. Jupiter is a mean bully of a planet anyway…
