#15 - Cancelling School: Yes, You're Going To Burn

Oh my! What is this madness?! I'll tell you what it is, it's a change-up!

You see, I only send in about 4 or 3 comics to Youthink Magazine. I started posting Attempted Fishmath on the web because I figured four comics each month would give me a good solid update on the web per week. But October screwed me up man! It threw everything out of balance, threw the system out of wack! October doesn't have four Tuesdays, it had 5! My jah, what is the world coming to?

So when this Tuesday neared, I faced a problem. I was going to whip a brand new comic, colour and all for today, but I spent all of my weekend working on the issues for the November issue of Youthink. So I was sitting in my English class today, frettin' over what to do, and then it hit me. So I whipped up a comic right there in class! We were supposed to be working on our Canterbury Tales project, but I was pretty much ahead of everyone else, so I decided to get some comicing dun! And I did. It's a bit of a rush job, I know, and if you look closely you can see it's done on lined paper, but I think it turned out alright. Today (Monday), there actually was a gas leak in the morning, and for five glorious minutes school was cancelled. But then the jerk fire department had to waltz in and solve everything so school would go ahead as planned. Man, the nerve of those firefighters! Saving lives, pfffft!

Anyways, I thought this joke was perfect, so I smacked it down on paper. All done in about half an hour, which was definitely a challenge for me because I strive for perfection on every strip, and this one was more of a free flow. Think of this update as an in-class assignment of Attempted Fishmath. The other issues have been homework. :P

Oh, and if I run into another update problam, I've decided to resort to this. I hope you guys don't mind. ;) It's kind of fresh for the eyes, ain't it? Sure there's no colour, but it's got that spur-of-the-moment grittiness!
