RANT OF THE DAY

So far I got 3 chapters written down for a new comic I have… the spinoff sequel to BK[SH]… The one with Claudita in it. Cedrick is nowhere in a 1000 km radius of that comic. :)

So far, I'm still thinking whether to call it "Servus Dei" (Servant of God) or "Serviam!" (I will serve!)


PLOT: Claudita is on a mission to recruit an "exorcist" (or I'd try to think of a better name lol), to help address the growing problem of increased demonic possessions.

However, its not as easy. The devils are on the move. They have already unleashed a really effective strategy to screw up the human race (hint: read the news and your history book… and try to connect the dots).


SETTING: Mostly in Canada. Sometimes in the USA.


CHARACTERS (so far… Characters may be changed or deleted)

Demons - like… DOH. The opposite of angels. The bad guys. In charge of temptations. Havent really named them yet. I just imagine them like akatsuki type badguys who hide behind the shadows and act like they're the cool shit.

Claudita - She's good now. No direct involvement in the human world. Just limited involvement.

Emmanuel Cruz (eman) - Filipino guy. Immigrated to Canada when he was 14 years old. Came together with his parents. Alot of shit gets thrown in his way. So far, the 3 chapters I wrote is still focused on him.

Ricky - whiteguy co-worker of Eman. Came from a single mother family. Never knew his father.

Tyrone - black dude who lives in an apartment. Together with Ricky and Eman, they chip in to pay bills and shit. Works a legit job with a minimum wage. Ex-gangsta with his criminal past still haunting him.

Nathaniel - a smartmouth sarcastic ex-angel who was kicked out of heaven (and hell). I imagine this dude having silver hair… and being a "bishounen" of some sort. Suddenly appears around Claudita in order to make sarcastic comments. He's like the clown in this comic. Without him, this comic will make you cry. lol

Mrs. Draper - The school principal (I imagine her to be fat short haired lady in her late 40s)

Mr. Cruz - Eman's dad. Alchoholic but well-educated in the Philippines. An asshole.
Mrs. Cruz - Eman's mom. Fond of screaming and starting arguments. A bitch.
Both parents though are devout Catholics.

Father Jose Penafrancia - A Filipino priest who has different ideas from the more mainstream Catholic priests (without being a heretic). He was one of the asian priests imported by the Canadian diocese to address the priest shortage. An exorcism, martial arts, and weapons expert. As to which MAs, I just wanna make him a well-rounded fighter. Doesnt matter if its ground or stand up. Maybe he'd be a former Scout Ranger (elite Philippine military unit) soldier… as an explanation of his fighting skill. Or maybe he'd be a member of a secret society with roots in the Vatican… especially trained in exorcism. Still sketching out details on this guy.

Liana Chavinski - Canadian girl (with Russian bg) who becomes Eman's love interest. She's an atheist. Likes Japanese animation and video games. Still thinking of a subplot where she gets involved with these satanist guys and gets possessed.

The "Axis Four" - some demon-possessed/influenced group of students (four of them)… Havent really put details into them yet.

OTHER NOTES
This comic has less action so far. 3 chapters written… no significant action yet. Expect mostly dialog, drama, and philosophy for most of it. Comic is mostly gonna be the same style I used in doing chapter 4 in this comic. Its not like my usual "hi-energy" setting where every single chapter of my comics has something big going on.

Maybe escalated drama. For instance, there is a scene of an angry Filipino dad who regrets coming to Canada because he ends up working in a shit factory job… then he rants about how racist white people are and how Filipino youth who come to canada grow up and imitate the black gangsta culture. Then he disses the government of Canada and the Philippines for lyin to him… then slaps his wife and son and throws things all over the place while maintaining a cussword rate of 3 cusswords per sentence while arguing with his wife at the same time. A dysfunctional mess of a family.

Angst ridden drama shit. :) Though NOT all scenes are gonna be like richard mcbeef by cho seung hui. There are E scenes and PG 13 scenes most of the time. And as my experience writing the script… it feels more like a novel than a comic.

Nothing really much to look forward to… :( And I'd be putting an "M" rating on it due to dialog and situations that may offend people.

Maybe I'd overrate it by making her dress like Naruto and spoof the Naruto Shippuuden intro… then Naruto will show up and be like… YO STOLE MA INTRO YO!!! Then Claudita will do a Kage bunshin… then Naruto will be all so pissed cuz Claudita can do that too. lol Man I'm a geek sometimes. lol
