RANT OF THE DAY
——————-

lol its fun working on three scripts at the same time (during breaktime at work and before going to sleep). I cannot just… focus on one at a time because story ideas just keep on coming in and I just have to write em down.

BK[SN] - still refining some plot details about Matthias and other characters.

KND - Trying to tone it down… and change a few plot details that may be deemed offensive. Too much drama so far. Drama content is maybe 4x that of Brood Knight series. This storyline will have very little action.

ASKAL - Completed 3 chapters… all of em action-loaded. Man its BORING writing a script that doesnt have too much dialog but full of action. However drawing action scenes are more fun than talk talk scenes.

Also with regard to ASKAL, I saw the need to do designs for costumes, weapons, APCs, (armored personnel carriers), JEEPs, and helicopter gunships.

That is quite a challenge for me.

The "fantasy world" so far is set in Palengke, the capital of gangsta activity in Ertolia… which I already showed in past comics.

However as the story progresses, I might need to design different locations that look "different".

In summary… these are the challenges associated with the following genres of comics I've experimented on:

DRAMA - dialog, conversational poses, and facial expressions.

ACTION - action scenes… the whole fight choreography and action poses.

FANTASY - character and world design. Especially if you are going to model your world after something that isnt cliche. (set in a world that looks like medieval Europe or Japan)

As for creating a world, the drunkduck comic called "Realm of Aegis" has done an excellent job in actually creating a universe. o_0 Down to the language, and down to the culture and customs (no wonder it became featured comic… lol or maybe cuz some admin liked it… God knows… lol).

I've also seen a few comics that have combined settings as far as their fantasy world is concerned. For instance… "The Third" - combined medieval and WWI setting. "Pinky TA" - looks like late 19th and the whole 20th century combined… plus a few throw ins from the future.

lol I plugged a few comics in this rant. HAHA! Lucky bastards… lol
