RANT OF THE DAY

Its not always too easy as a webcomic artist… to get away with shit you say in the internet. Well… someone's shit may be gold for someone else.

For example, if you diss political parties, race, gender, religion, celebrities, music, or anything else… it could be taken against you.

So I keep shut on political issues. Before getting webcomics on the net, ive been a frequent debater in political forums and I got flamed big deal… and also got pats on the back.

Happened alot before. Just like in real life, life on the net has similarities. Just as I avoid people that dont agree with me… or behave a different way that would conform to my definition of a "friend"… same thing in the net.

On some occasions, people stopped readin my comic and stopped chattin with me upon finding out the opinions that I hold that they dont agree with.

So much with "freedom of speech" eh…

Honestly… if I spit out everything in my mind over there at the DD forums, I'd be banned for sure. So I spit out reasonable amounts… maybe 30% or somethin.

In other words, online webcomic artists are like "celebrities".

Wayne Gretzky gambling scandal all over the news… Prince Harry dressin like a nazi… Paris Hilton sayin the "N" word while talkin to her bodyguards… etc. etc. etc…

rumors… rumors… rumors… some may be truth some may be false… but it could still make you or break you.

To cut this short, yea. Post dangerous or one-sided opinions under a different pseudonym.

The first 13 chapters were written in Tagalog. During that time, I wasnt really thinkin of my comics becoming "global". I was there in Manila …the 16 year old kid who didnt know he'll be in canada after a few years… :)

Oh… really… didnt notice that. Probably happened when I kept mixing blues and reds.
