Regarding the inquiry about "putang ina"…

That literally means "your mother is a slut".
Puta = slut
ina = mother

But if used in a sentence, it can mean different things either positively or negatively.

Ex:

Putang ina! Angaling mo pare!!!
- Holy shit! You're so cool!!!

Yayariin ko mga putang ina na yan!!!
- I'm gonna kill those motherfuckers.

Tangina late na ako…
- Fuck I'm late…


As you can see, it could be a substituted for any English cussword you know. It doesnt matter if its "fuck", "dipshit", "bullshit", "motherfucker"… etc…

Hence, The "putang ina" is the generic Tagalog cussword. As far as cusswords are concerned, we're not as extensive as other languages.
