Introduction of the (anti)-heroine. Still experimenting with text boxes, text balloons, fonts and font sizes and the heroine's appearance.
– Maybe I should introduce myself/this comic a little bit more as well… I'm Syethain and this is my comic, B.L.O.E.D. The acronym is Dutch and is short for Bloed, Lust, Ongepast Taalgebruik, Erotiek & Dood (translated that would be something like blood, lust, inappropriate language, erotics and death), in other words, things associated with vampirism and such. The comic comes from a story I wrote when I was 16. My aim is to complete at least one whole chapter in relatively high quality, and we'll see what happens next… I'm planning to continue this as long as possible. ^^
I tried my hands on drawing single comic pages a couple of times before, but I never started from scratch in Photoshop, so I'm actually quite glad with the result. It's the first time I've worked with light effects but I like it thus far, the dark covers up most of my mistakes (lacks of backgrounds and such). I think it's a nice touch to add to the confusion she feels, being all alone in a dark appartment where every shadow can have evil intents.
