Shades - Boo's chariot

Despite being adamant that my heroes would have no "extravagantly designed" vehicles in Shades, once I had the idea for Boo's chariot, I couldn't resist. To add to the dilemma, when I explained the design to Harsho, he admitted that he hated drawing horses!

This page shows how we tackled it. First, I bought a toy sports car and photographed it from every angle that Harsho would need to draw. Then, because I failed to find any images of horses at full stretch on the web, I pressed into service a miniature of Gandalf on Shadowfax and used that to draw a stylised version of the horses myself. Finally, I sent my sketches and the photographs to Harsho and - hey presto! - he now had all the elements he needed to build a chariot!
