Transmorpher D.D.S.: The winner of last week's pinup contest iiiiiiiis… Shotred! Please contact us at doctorsharktopus@yahoo.com so we can discuss and plan your pinup, unless you just want to discuss it in the comments or something.
I've decided to immediately hold another pinup contest, because talking to Dongaria about something unrelated I found out that a few people weren't aware of the contest in the first place, likely since not everyone reads the author comments. I figured since there are no updates to the main site on Sunday, I might as well use that day to advertise things like this. I won't say that we're going to be having this contest weekly, but I wanted to see what kind of response we got when we made it more apparent to everyone that it was ongoing.
I just wanted to take some time to talk about what it's like to create this comic. I spend about 6-8 hours on each pages of this comic, depending on a combination of complexity, or whether or not the pose or subject is just really unfamiliar to me. My hope is to treat it like a real job… to put in the time and hours that I would at a regular occupation, and the thought is that as long as I do that then maybe enough people will be generous enough for me to survive on this. That's a big part of why I'm pushing for ways to encourage fans to help by spreading the comic around across the internet. I don't expect very many people to be able to spare money for something like this (lord knows I can't afford the same thing for others I'd like to support) so I hope that, even if you're not interested in winning the pinup, if you want to support the comic without having to give away money I hope you take part in this contest. You can always gift the pinup to someone else if you'd rather.
