Transmorpher D.D.S.: This whole chapter really switches gears from here, but in a lot of ways it also gets more focused… before it was kind of the story of some women wandering around this island, but with this the focus because more clearly on the conflict with the Monster Girls.

This page got posted late because I was out seeing the new Ninja Turtles movie. I really enjoyed it! But it was definitely very flawed… still, it improved on the previous movie immensely. One of the problems with that movie was that it simply took itself too seriously… it seemed almost embarrassed to be a "Ninja Turtles" movie. This movie, however, embraces all the zaniness and fun of the Ninja Turtles concept and just runs with it. However, on the down side, the story is a complete mess. It actually kind of feels like it would work better as the story to one of the Ninja Turtle arcade games… where there's just enough plot to keep the turtles jumping between a variety of interesting environments. I think, though, that if you're the type of person who can enjoy Ninja Turtles II: Secret of the Ooze unironically, then you'll enjoy this movie. But it still doesn't quite hold up against the balance of story telling, humor, and light drama from the first live-action film.
