I actually struggle a bit with Amber's freckles. It's hard to define, but there's a sort of line where freckles go from looking sexy to just looking like the characters' design is messy. I think it comes a lot from the simplification of the art… overly realistic freckles would actually look kind of weird over my art style. I try to go for a softer, almost patterned look, if only to avoid it looking too much like texture.
