Scott D onThe rambling tale of Jonah Catahoula was probably one of the most entertaining parts to write, but also the hardest to format. I'd originally wanted the text to be clearer, but it never looked good. I think the white text works because Adrienne isn't really listening, she's just being bombarded by this very talkative driver, so it comes and goes. I'm personally a bit awkward when it comes to chatty drivers. I realise they're supposed to engage their passengers, but I prefer to sit quietly and just watch stuff go by the window. The story itself is based loosely on a prank call made by a friend of mine to a radio show. Another friend of mine who saw this page during development insists that Jonah's expression has nothing to do with the story he's telling, but, in their words, "he is happy because he is driving and he is a dog." I've actually heard a few things from my social circle when it comes to matters of interpretation, and while I can say from a certain position of authority that they aren't always right in the literal sense, it's kind of heartwarming to know the people you care about notice these details in your work and find ways to give them additional significance.
