Extra: Storyboards 2/4

Storyboards 2/4. In my last post, the choice to upload these storyboards got me pondering about what studio might animate a hypothetical Barkham Horror cartoon. Being the fan of old cartoons that I am, I initially thought it'd be interesting if the job went to companies like Cosgrove Hall (Danger Mouse, Count Duckula, and the animated Doctor Who restorations), Martin Rosen's Nepenthe Productions (Watership Down, The Plague Dogs), or Richard Williams Animation (The Thief and the Cobbler, Raggedy Ann & Andy: A Musical Adventure). Yes, it's all incredibly unlikely for a number of reasons, but this is just a bit of fun, so the sky's the limit, really. Others I've thought of include Production I.G. (responsible for the adaptation of Junji Ito's Uzumaki debuting later this year), Laika (Coraline, Kubo and the Two Strings), and Aardman Animations (Wallace and Gromit).

A friend on Twitter suggested that Silver Link would be another good choice, based on their background art. I wasn't immediately familiar with their work, but on recommendation I checked out a few episodes of the series Dusk Maiden of Amnesia, and I must say that what I saw was indeed absolutely gorgeous. So, good call!

Next question, what voice actors do you think might feature in the animated Barkham Horror series, and who would they play? I joked before about George Basset, but let's put some thought into this.

One final note, you can now vote for Barkham Horror over at Top Web Comics! I'm not the most experienced when it comes to self-promotion, but any writer just wants to be read, so it seemed like something worth checking out.
