Wow! Why did I decide to draw so many zombies? Well, I had to do something pretty spectacular after the cliffhanger on the last page.
I'm going to go into a bit of an explanation about these next few pages. I wasn't really planning on focusing too much on The battle for Tuktoyaktuk. The thing is, the comic is called Bear VS. Zombies and I know I've kind of been focusing on Duncan quite a bit with this backstory. Well, let me just say this, this is ultimately Bear's story, but he was kind of hibernating during all of this. So, what does that mean? It means if you really like Duncan, you get some more awesome pages featuring him. If you like Bear and hate Duncan, I'm sorry. Forgive me. :(
Anyways… about The battle for Tuktoyaktuk. I've loosely based the location where Duncan lives on an actual place in the Northwest territories on the coast of the Arctic Ocean. So if you're reading this, and you're from their, forgive me. I've tried to be fairly accurate, but this is ultimately a story about Animals surviving the Zombie Apocalypse.
The battle of Tuktoyaktuk is basically the battle between the newly zombified residents and the surrounding animals i.e. housepets and such. This means we will be introduced to a few new characters and be witnessing some epic animal VS. zombies battles going on. Sound fun? I hope so.
One more thing, I've also decided to do The Battle of Tuktoyaktuk in color. The B/W was basically to give the sense of a flashback, but I wasn't intending for it to go on this long. So we're still in flashback mode, but now we're in COLOR flashback mode.
Whew! @DAJB I've never seen Hoodwinked, so I can say that Duncan is not based on the rabbit you refer to.
