Ok.
So I drew free caricatures at this school event for the campus newspaper, since I'm on the staff.
The last kid I drew would ask questions about the paper and try to find ways of getting on it. Either photo or story.

I thought this was a funny idea and I told him that since I'm the cartoonist I'm pretty much the only one with the ability to just randomly have some kid appearing on the "Breeze".

Hence…Nathan the Dragon.
