Yes, the boys father said this word for word.
I felt pretty good when I saw a father teaching his son about Ben Franklin.
But then he delivered the disappointing blow.

I kept my mouth shut. I didn't want him to change his mind about spending all of his money on popcorn, candy, and sodas.

If I hadn't worked at an amusement park and a camera shop, I might feel a little pinch of a conscience every time I emptied wallets over junk food.
