There are a few ideas that inspired this comic.

1) I really did love that movie Drag Me To Hell. It was absurd and hilarious. Sam Raimi knows how to mingle humor and horror in such a delicious way.

2) Gypsies come to our theater often and try to pull shenanigans to get free things. A customer once told me, "you see that lady over there?…..don't give her anything for free! She's a gypsy and they try that all of the time" I asked him how he knew and he replied that he was one. He then quickly added that he still paid for his ticket.

3) People get so angry about the "no outside food" rule. I love it when they ask "Where does it say that?!" and I point out the giant sign next to me and the giant sign that was next to the box office. But I did hear them say that we're going to lose those signs. Which saddens me. But sometimes people get so angry they start cursing at you. And then that made me think of taking the idea of "cursing you" literally.
