Radio Money

In case any managers/supervisors are reading this, it's just a gag that I thought needed to be drawn.
There isn't an issue that needs to be raised.

That being said…

I thought the whole the reality of the encounter was wacky.

The way it really happened is that I called on the radio asking something like, "can someone open a drawer in box office, so I can send Audrey on break?" it could've been "register drawer" or "register" but either way I was then told not to talk about money on the radio.

I understand that you could easily make the connection between the words register, drawer, and money, but I was unaware that those were key words that can't be talked about on the radio. So I made a mental note of that and went on with my life.

But then I asked, on the radio, "What register can I use in concession?". They replied to call them over the phones and I was told which register I can use and that I can't talk about money on the radio. I asked her if we could still use the phrase, "Could I get register assistance?" and I was told it was ok, even though the word "register" seems to be a hot one.

At this point I had a small idea for a comic strip.

But the NEED for a comic strip to be posted about this didn't come until later.

One of my co-workers called the office asking for someone to unlock a register for him and they told him, "thank you for not saying that over the radio". I would not have known that they said this if my co-worker had not told me, hell, he didn't even know about the issue of me talking on the radio at all. But the authority figure felt the need to have themselves a little inside joke to whoever might've been listening to the phone conversation in a delightfully passive aggressive sort of way.

Now I NEED to post the comic.

Posting web comics about little problems are great outlets of passive aggressive tendencies. The people involved may or may not read this and the whole situation can easily be ignored. But there's always the chance that this comic get to them somehow (it's easy with the interwebz) which is fine by me too.

My comic is an exaggeration, but I don't think it's too far off.
