I think that this conversation started when we were on the topic of pets and owning a tortoise has always been something in the back of mind. There's something about owning a slow moving rock and having a living heirloom that amuses the hell out of me. I would probably name it something like Bellini, Morla, or Barry (Allen). But then when I was telling her about the cool ideas that follow my goal of owning a tortoise, I considered what I would do if I could paint on the shell.

Would I think up humorous sayings that my tortoise would say? (fml, ramming speed, etc…) Or would I go all geeky and paint up the shell as if you need an Italian bodyguard to be in my backyard.

Chloe didn't like that idea. Then she asked me the question that is in the comic.

How could I be upset about a painting tortoise?! That would be all kinds of amazing!
