This page sets up who lives in the house. Barb took over the mortgage when the mother took ill just as she took over the family. Barb has a job and her husband is a deputy sheriff. They live in Texas so they can afford a big house on that budget. This definitely couldn't work in New Jersey.

Trisha and her husband were welcomed to stay in the house to better manage Belle's start in the movies. And Barb wants to keep her eye on things and maybe get herself on screen. The rent is cheaper than the hotel.
