Fiction always assumes some sort of common point of reference for communication with alien lifeforms. What if their species' idea of "hello " is unacceptable to us? They have no conception of the personal boundaries we take for granted?

I designed this being after reading a book on Cambrian life forms found in the Burgess shale. Many are totally unlike anything on earth today and so is this being.
